I tried your simulation and left my computer on for a week. When I checked back, the blobs were arguing with each other about whether I exist. Some blobs were killing other blobs, and others were amassing all the resources. It was such mayhem, I set aside 8 blobs which seemed to exhibit optimum behaviour. I deleted the rest of the blobs.

It's getting bad again. I've decided to become a blob myself so I can talk to them on their level. I'll let you know how it goes.
